Microsoft announced that Windows 10 version 1909 would be rolled out in September 2019. Well, Windows 10 users are still trying to cope up with the problems introduced by Windows 10 May 2019 Update.
Therefore, many of them decided to skip this update on their machines.
Starting with Windows 10 May 2019 Update, you have more control over updates. Microsoft introduced an important deffer update feature. You can delay feature upgrades for up to 365 days and the monthly updates can be delayed for a period of 35 days.
Windows 10 v1909 will install faster than previous updates
The Director of Program Management for the Windows servicing and delivery, John Cable described the distribution process in a blog post.
The blog post further reads:
We will deliver this feature update in a new way, using servicing technology (like the monthly update process) for customers running the May 2019 Update who choose to update to the new release. In other words, anyone running the May 2019 Update and updating to the new release will have a far faster update experience because the update will install like a monthly update.
This means that you can control Windows 10 19H2 similarly to the way you control other Windows 10 Feature Updates. It’s entirely up to you when you want to install the update on your system.
In other words, anyone running the May 2019 Update and updating to the new release will have a far faster update experience because the update will install like a monthly update.
